Coinciding with Grant Thornton’s “exponential growth”, we delivered a high-quality £1.8m fit-out of the professional services firm’s new Belfast headquarters. Completed in just 12 weeks, our comprehensive refit of the third floor of the iconic Danske Bank building in Donegall Square West has created the platform for the accountancy giant’s ambitious future plans for the region.
The high-quality, largely open plan Grade A office accommodation features call booths and collaboration zones throughout, and includes 11 meeting rooms, a relaxed client seating area and a library.
Delivered as planned on time and on budget, the state-of-the-art Grade A office accommodation fit-out incorporated high-calibre finishes and materials throughout.
Bespoke joinery, M&E installations, suspended metal ceilings, roof plant installations, kitchen installations and floor and wall finishes were key elements of the redevelopment programme. A priority for Grant Thornton was the installation of top of the range I.T and AV systems which would be fully flexible and adaptable to meet future advances in technology.
The existing space also contained ‘strong rooms’, inclusive of large security safes, reflecting the third floor’s former banking role. Showcasing our innovative approach, these were adapted to fit modern filing and storage systems. Merging traditional fixtures and fittings with vibrant colours and materials established an entirely fresh perspective for the offices, while unique wall coverings were erected that depicted famous Northern Ireland landmarks.
Completed in 25,199 ‘manhours’ with zero RIDDORS, the project was also notable for our sustainability performance, including 100% waste to landfill and the utilisation of timber supplied from a sustainable chain of custody source.
