Project Summary
The Central Quay Build to Rent (BTR) development is located to the West of Glasgow City Centre between Anderston Quay and the River Clyde and consists of 498 apartments varying from studios to 3-bedroom flats. The complex is spread over three 10-storey blocks and a 20-storey tower with two roof gardens and a central garden raised on a podium above the car park. The resident facilities include residents’ lounges, top floor private dining and bar, café, games rooms, gym, bike storage and cycle club, private landscaped roof terraces and a co-working commercial area with office accommodation for staff. The project provides diversity of use across the site to create a new mixed-use quarter with vibrant 24 hour activity and creates a generous boulevard on Warroch Street to provide attractive pedestrian routes to the riverfront and wider transport connections.
Project Detail
Procured through a Pre-Construction Services Agreement, GRAHAM worked collaboratively with the design team to ensure that the client’s outline project requirements were delivered. We worked with the client to develop and cost option appraisals and agreed the final design. Construction of the apartment blocks comprised concrete cores and frame on displacement and rotary bored piles and pile caps.
