Welcoming the next generation to CONSTRUCTION

Welcoming the next generation to CONSTRUCTION image

GRAHAM Building North recently welcomed a group of S3 pupils to our site at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) as part of our school Partnership Agreement with Bellahouston Academy.

During the visit the pupils were treated to a supervised walk through the site to see first-hand the work being carried out by GRAHAM. The pupils were very enthusiastic and engaged, asking lots of questions about the project and were keen to find out more about the routes our team had taken into construction.

Feedback has been amazing:

“Once again thank you so much for arranging our fantastic visit. Very informative and beneficial to our pupils. We hope to arrange another visit with Graham Construction soon.”

Tamla Feeney, Skills Development Scotland

“We were treated to an amazing behind the scenes look at all aspects of the ongoing work taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Our hosts Mark, Janet and Craig gave the pupils insights on pathways and routes into the construction industry and spoke about all the new digital opportunities which are becoming a crucial part of the industry. We are looking forward to working with Graham Construction again in the future.”

Sharon Keenan, DYW Co-ordinator, Bellahouston Academy

The Partnership allows us to provide support to young people who want to explore options for when they leave school, giving them valuable learning and information on careers in construction through employability workshops and career talks tailored to STEM.

We hope the pupils are looking forward to the next event as much as we are!
