Meet Harrison Morgan.
Based in our Leeds office, Harrison is undertaking a year-long, part-time placement in Quantity Surveying with our Interior Fit-Out division. This placement forms part of Harrison’s T Level in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning course, which he is studying at Runshaw College in Leyland, England.
Gaining invaluable experience in the office, and first-hand exposure to real-life projects on site, Harrison is learning from experienced colleagues such as Gary Lowe, Senior Quantity Surveyor.

1. What attracted you to a placement with GRAHAM?
“When I left school, I worked for a Sub-Contractor who was employed by GRAHAM. I got to know the roles of the site team by observing them from afar, and I knew instantly I wanted to be a part of a bigger team and involved in the delivery of large projects.”
2. What has been your favourite part of your placement so far?
“The work is meaningful and directly correlates with what I want to do. I’m encouraged and supported to learn and progress and have recently been given responsibility for take offs and site surveys.”
3. What advice would you give to someone considering a placement with GRAHAM?
“I know from speaking to my friends at college that I am getting really good experience at GRAHAM. The exposure to the role of QS that I’m getting is a true reflection of the career I would like to pursue in the future. I would also 100% recommend GRAHAM as a company. All of the members of the Leeds office and site team have been very welcoming and are genuinely great people to work with.”
4. What advice would you give to someone considering a placement in Quantity Surveying?
“The positives outweigh the negatives. I travel up to three hours per day for my placement, but I am happy to do it because of the knowledge and experience I am gaining.”
5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
“Hopefully working for GRAHAM, as a Chartered Senior Quantity Surveyor with an RICS membership.”
