The Harry McMullen Award, now in its tenth year, continues to recognise outstanding talent in civil engineering. This year, GRAHAM proudly honoured Anastasia Moretto for her exceptional performance during her industrial placement year through the GRAHAM Academy.
A significant milestone that highlights a decade of recognising and nurturing talent in civil engineering, serving as a reminder of the impact that mentorship and recognition can have on young professionals, inspiring them to pursue their passions.
Named in memory of Harry McMullen, a respected colleague who inspired countless young engineers throughout his 40-year career. The ceremony took place at our Hillsborough office in Northern Ireland, where Anastasia impressed the judges with her passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to civil engineering.
"We are delighted to present The Harry McMullen Award to Anastasia said Leo Martin, GRAHAM Managing Director of Civil Engineering.
The award reflects not only dedication as a civil engineer but also the values that Harry embodied. Anastasia exemplifies the bright future we envision at GRAHAM, her contribution over the past year not only highlights her talent but also inspires those around her, particularly young women pursuing careers in the industry".
Commenting on the accolade, Anastasia said,
“I am incredibly honoured to receive The Harry McMullen Award and thankful for this opportunity to showcase my passion for the industry. I have had a fantastic time on placement working on the Chelmer Waterside Bridge project, developing my technical skills and knowledge of the construction industry.
The hands-on experience gained has been invaluable to me and has solidified my passion for civil engineering. I am very pleased to be returning to GRAHAM after I graduate, and excited to further develop my skills and become a well-rounded engineer.”
