Tiger Team approach to innovation shortlisted for Institute of Collaborative Working Award

We are delighted to share that GRAHAM has been shortlisted for an Institute of Collaborative Working (ICW) Award for our Tiger Team approach to Innovation!

What is the Tiger Team approach

GRAHAM was keen to evolve an innovation culture that would drive continuous improvement, increase productivity & embed sustainability, particularly in terms of carbon reduction.

The Tiger Team approach “borrowed from NASA” has been adopted & adapted to suit our construction sector and we’re not working alone – we are collaborating with industry experts Expedition Engineering, now our innovation partner, colleagues from across the business as well as tapping into the expertise of our valued supply chain partners.

Our overarching aim is to ensure innovation is an integral part of the GRAHAM way. Highlighting our success to date is the delivery of our South Bank Quay project in Teeside, and specifically the Tie-Rod Installation. The outcomes of Tiger Team process achieved significant results such as over 50% improvement in process optimisation, which led to a 47.6T carbon reduction, £230,000 financial saving as well as reduction in Health & Safety exposure, and a positive cultural shift towards better collaboration.
